Since every gadget in the life of a person has grown eyes in front and the back, nothing is safe any more. We all know that governments spy on people but why would we want our own friends to do the same?
Gallery Lock is a solution for hiding pictures on devices that change hands. If you keep pictures on a shared tablet, then you might not want other people to copy or check them out. In case you don't mind or really do wish for others to admire your gorgeous images, then this app is not for you.
Pictures are not all that Gallery Lock (GL) deals with. As you browse through your hidden collection you can also play stored mp3's through GL's controls.
Gallery Lock sorts the hidden files into folders. You may create and delete folders as you see fit. From inside these folders you can add images and video files to be hidden and displayed here. From here they can be viewed in full screen size.
There are also a handful of security options. The app itself is locked with a 4 digit number, but pictures can be backed up into a Google or Dropbox cloud account and folders can be archived as zip files. Also, the Watchdog feature takes a photo whenever an incorrect PIN code is introduced (after the second attempt). Neat!
A word of warning, though! If you clear data, uninstall the app or force close it, you might just find yourself unable to retrieve what you have so skilfully hidden.

Gallery Lock is a good app for hiding personal stuff. Just be careful about how you handle it.
